SnapFTP

SnapFTP is a program that allows you to grab a screenshot of a specific window for Windows 95/98/NT/2000/XP, save it to disk, or upload it to an FTP site.

I keep a trading log for my futures trading account online. I made this program to make it very easy for me to grab snapshots of the charts as I close out trades and upload it to my trading log website in one easy action.

  • you can drag the icon to only capture the window that you want, instead of the entire application or entire desktop.
  • remembers all the settings.
  • if the local and remote filenames end in a number, it will auto- increment them. Useful for when you have 'chart-1.gif', it will increment to 'chart-2.gif' after you save or upload for the next screen capture.
  • you can label the screenshot.
  • you can specify whether to close the dialog, minimize it, or do nothing after the action has taken place. I did this to make the use of this program as fast as possible during the trading day.
  • VERY small program size, only 204kb!.

This is an example of a screenshot taken by SnapFTP. Note that you can specify a label at the bottom of the screenshot.
